Three brilliant projects in the Bath area collect surplus produce and distribute it to those who can benefit.
These projects are keen to hear about sources of surplus produce or crops that might go to waste. They also always welcome new volunteers to help with harvesting, deliveries or admin.
CropDrop is coordinating the redistribution of fruit and vegetables from bountiful allotments and growers. Volunteer drivers transport this untapped resource to charity projects that provide food, alleviating food poverty across Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES).

Ciderspace is an exciting offshoot of Orchardshare. Apples harvested from local orchards, including those managed by Orchardshare, are juiced by hydropress for the production of apple juice for pasteurisation in bottles and cidermaking. Avon Gleaning works primarily with farms around Avon and Somerset to harvest or collect surplus fruit and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. The crops are redistributed to charitable food projects who are supporting people experiencing food insecurity.
